“花の里山”への期待高まる4・20六国見山手入れ
園路にポツンと1本、キンラン復活
4月20日、北鎌倉湧水ネットワークは8人が参加して六国見山の手入れを実施した。手入れの内容は3月16日に間伐したスギの玉切り・片付け、形状不良のヒノキの間伐（1本）、下刈り、神奈川県有竹林の親竹候補の選木とそれ以外のタケノコ掘りで、密度の濃いものとなった。
スギの玉切り・片付けをした近くの園路の中央にポツンと1本、キンランが復活して咲き始めた。昨秋から周囲の形状不良のスギを間伐したので、明るくなった。それが復活の理由だと推測される。
六国見山にはそれ以外の場所でもキンランが復活して、これから本格的に開花する。きれいなので持ち帰りたいと思う人がいるかもしれないが、それは絶対にやめてほしい。移植しても育たないからだ。
野草図鑑
「周辺の明るさなどの環境が整うと、ある年突然地上に出てきて花をつける。周辺環境と土壌環境が生育の絶対条件のようで、キンランを移植しても決して繁殖させることはできない…条件さえ合えば群生する。かつて里山には当たり前のように生えていた草とされる」
ヤマザクラが散り、ヤマツツジが開花のピークを過ぎようとしているが、ヤマアジサイがつぼみを付けて、開花の準備を整えている。タンポポが群生して花を咲かせていたが、それ以外の山野草も復活した。手入れを続けていけば、六国見山は“花の里山”として評判になるのではないか。そんな期待が高まってきた。
