The purpose of this tool is to find the just noticeable difference for EQ filters. In version 1.0 only one test has been defined to test the just noticeable gain difference for a peak EQ filter at a frequency of 1〓kHz and a bandwidth of 1〓octave.

Seems a lot of you have had issues with DirectX not initializing "Error: can’t init the DX device, exiting!" so I’ve decided to release the OpenGL build, it’s less tested but actually runs faster than the DX verison on my machine :) post any issues in the forum, thanks!

Mod271 pronounced as "Mode" (the 271 being a play on Euler’s number) is really a DSP playground with unified audio/MIDI support and functionally is supposed to exist somewhere in between Reaktor, reacTable and Reason (although this isn’t the case quite yet). Last summer, I had the idea to create a virtual instrument based on the sounds created by the toy ray guns I had as a child.
While staying at home for Thanksgiving, I found the third and final toy ray gun that I have been looking for. The white plastic has yellowed. The internal components are scratchy and unreliable. It sounds exactly like I remember it.
Now that I have the trilogy of ray guns from long ago, I can get to work on dumping their various squeaks and beeps into a new VST instrument. I think it will function primarily as a percussion instrument … or maybe just an old school analog sound effect machine. It may seem pointless to many, but I’ll find a use for it on my record somewhere.
I have no time frame for a release … but now I have all the pieces I need.

Because my Intel Celeron4 2.8 GHz and/or AsRock p4s55fx mobo are broken, I’m back working on the Pentium3 866Mhz :-( but anyway, here’s the new GUI for FFDelay, let’s call it FFDelay-v1.2 ... Now featuring 16 presets,
and when double-clicking the Thresh knob, it jumps to value 0,
the Dry/Wet knob will jump to value 50.
