今週の明るい彗星 (2024年4月20日：北半球版)

70年ぶりに回帰した。4月3日にバーストを起こして、1等ほど明るくなった。現在は4.3等(4月20日、Marco Goiato)。今後は急激に減光する。日本では、現在は観測できない。南半球ではやや低い。だが、冬には高く見えるようになる。

オルバース彗星 (13P)
68年ぶりに回帰した。夏に7.5等まで明るくなる。現在は9.8等(4月17日、宮崎修氏)。急激に増光中。日本では超低空。南半球では、まもなく観測できなくなる。最盛期は、日本からは低空。南半球では観測できない。

9月末に太陽に0.4天文単位まで接近し、0等まで明るくなると期待されている。現在は10.7等(4月18日、Chris Wyatt)。今後は急激に増光する。日本では、今後は次第に低くなり、7月には観測できなくなる。南半球では、条件良く観測できる。最盛期は、日本からは近日点通過後に条件良く観測できる。南半球では、近日点通過の前後に低空で観測できる。

XML::STX
Streaming Transformations for XML (STX) is a one-pass transformation language for XML documents. STX is intended as a high-speed, low memory consumption alternative to XSLT, using the W3C XQuery 1.0and XPath 2.0 Data Model. Since STX does not require the construction of an in-memory tree, it is suitable for use in resource constrained scenarios. The aim of this project is to develop and maintain an STX language specification.

Introduction
FlightTrack is a GPS utility designed exclusively for MacOS X. It can be used to download tracks and waypoints from a GPS and display them in 3D. Its main functions are:
- Downloading tracks and waypoints from GPS: Garmin (not USB),Magellan, MLR SP 24XC, Brauniger IQ Compeo, Flytec 5030 or PalmOS device with special software.
- 3D Viewing over the terrain and satellite or map data.
- Support for opening and writing GPX and IGC documents.
FlightTrack is free software. It is released with the source code under the terms of the GNU Public License.You can get more information about what free software is on the FSF site.

This page contains information about the world’s first prototypic Java implementation of the Streaming Transformations for XML (STX) language. It is intended as a reference implementation which demonstrates the functionality of STX. Joost is developed and maintained by Oliver Becker.
The latest version 0.9.1 was created on 2009-09-26 and may be downloaded here.
Joost is released under the Mozilla Public License 1.1. Have a look at the project page for further information. Any questions concerning Joost may be asked on the joost-help mailing list.
